The Guide

RR
Ben Proffitt
Portrait — forthcoming

Raines Routes was born from a lifetime of driving East Tennessee’s best roads and an eight-year career immersed in car culture. Ben Proffitt grew up exploring the Smokies, building an encyclopedic knowledge of the region’s twisting tarmac, hidden photo spots, and local cuisine.

Through his freelance work with Car and Driver, Winding Road, and Everyday Driver, he learned how to capture the essence of a great drive. Now, as a key part of the customer experience at Harper Porsche of Knoxville, he specializes in building long-term relationships with enthusiasts. Raines Routes is his way of bringing all of that together — acting as your personal guide to the roads he calls home.
